Course Expectations
Mrs. Cole
English 9-12
Math 9-12

I.   Materials/Supplies-Students must bring the following items to class everyday:

  • 2 three-ringed binder with subject dividers
  • Loose-leaf paper
  • Composition Notebook
  • Pens/Pencils
  • Index Cards
  • Plastic index card box         

II.  Homework
      Homework will be given on a regular basis to reinforce skills taught in class.  Students are expected to hand in completed homework assignments on the assigned date.  Missing and/or late assignments will affect your grade!

III. Quizzes and Tests
      All quizzes and tests will be announced in advance.  If you feel you need extra help before a quiz or exam please see me.  We will set up a time together to review.  If a quiz or test is missed due to an absence, it is the responsibility of the student to see me to schedule a make-up.

IV. Behavior
      Students will come to class on time and be prepared to work and learn.  Students are expected to act like mature young adults during school hours.  Foul language is not permitted in my classroom.  Students will be respectful to peers and adults.

V.  Grading for both courses will be as follows:     

          Tests/Quizzes:  25%
          Participation:    25%
          Class Work:     25%
        
 Homework:       25%
