COURSE EXPECTATIONS

Course Description – Geometry is a continuation of Integrated Algebra.  The student will further develop skills learned in Algebra and apply them to topics including:  Geometry, Logical Reasoning, Rational Expressions, Mathematical Systems, and Basic Trigonometry..  Coursework in Geometry  during this course will be assessed with the a final exam at the end of the course.  This is not a regents course. 

 

Grading Policy –   Math AB   Unit Tests – 60%                   

                                                  Quizzes – 10%                                 

                                                  Problem Sets/Projects – 20%                          

                                                  Homework/Classwork – 10%           

 

            **  All tests will be announced and One full day of review will be set aside

                  in preparation for the test.  Corrections will be accepted on all class

                  tests resulting in ¼ of the point value of the original questions.

           

**  Completion of assigned homework assignments is mandatory as it   

                 allows the student to reinforce classroom learning.  Failure to 

                 complete assigned homework assignments will negatively effect your 

                 grade.

 

Supplies -       The following supplies should be brought to class on a daily basis.

Notebook ( Looseleaf with folders is recommended),  Textbook, 

Scientific Calculator, pen or pencil.

Class Expectations

 

1.       Students are expected in class, on time, prepared for that day’s lesson.

2.       Students are expected to respect their fellow students and all faculty and staff involved in the learning process.

3.       Students are expected to be responsible for all assignment and to seek extra help when necessary.

4.       Students are expected to make up all work, quizzes, and tests missed due to absence. ( I will post a list of days I will be after school for student help.)
