Stundents will be participating in an integrated learning program that follows guidelines established by the NYS Learning Standards.
Students will be able to demonstrate:
Demonstrate basic locomotor skills (run, skip, hop, climb etc.) manipulative skills (throw, catch, and strike) and non-locomotor skills (balance, and weight transfer) using mature motor patterns consistent with their age level in a variety of activities and challenges.
Develop physical fitness skills through regular practice and effort.
Understand the effects on the body (taking your heart rate), the risks associated with inactivity (jump rope for heart) and the basic components of health related fitness (taking care of YOUR BODY for life!)
Understand a relationship between physical activity and individual well being.
