I grew up locally, in Red Oaks Mill in the Town of Poughkeepsie. I come from a wide and varied background; I have sold fine jewelry, worked for IBM, and waited tables. My parents instilled in me the value of a good education and the doors it can open. I have carried this with me over the years. My prior experience in the field of education includes six years teaching English at the middle and high school levels.
I believe that running a school at the 3rd to 5th grade level allows me the opportunity to affect students at a crucial and formative point in their lives. It is now that they either begin to lose interest or develop a love for learning. I believe that my experience as an Assistant Principal in the high school allows me to see a bigger picture and to better know what is in store for these students. I hope that by example and by coaching and counseling I can inspire students to be successful. I hope I can encourage them to be good people and that I can foster a life-long love of learning and discovery.
Please be in touch with any questions or concerns and let's be partners in every student's journey to adulthood.
