Welcome to Mr. G.'s webpage!!
Hello!!! I am very excited to be starting the '16-'17 school year at Dover Middle School! This year will be filled with lots of exciting activities and learning experiences.
A little about Mr. G: I have a background in Science (B.A. in Environmental Studies) and in Education (M.S. in Middle Childhood Education Grades 5-9), as well as 3 teaching certificates (Biology Grades 5-9, Teaching Students with Disabilities Grades 5-9 with a Concentration in Biology, and an Extension in General Science Grades 5-9). This is my ninth year in the Dover School District, and am looking forward to another great year!
I am very passionate about teaching Science to students at the Middle School level and a goal of mine for this school year is to have my students become responsible and reflective learners and to THINK LIKE A SCIENTIST!
I enjoy many sports including baseball and hockey. I am a HUGE New York Yankees fan as well as a New York Rangers fan, and participate in CrossFit regularly.
I have a beautiful daughter that my wife and I welcomed this past spring, and a dog named Bailey that drives us NUTS- but wouldn't trade for anything!
To parents: Communication is a key part in any relationship, especially between parents and teacher. If you feel the need to get in touch with me, please feel free to contact me. The best way is via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can call the school (877-5740) and leave me a voicemail. I too, will contact you to praise your child, to share any concern, or just simply to keep you updated on the school year.
For parents of student with disabilities, I will be working closely with the Special Education teachers to deliver specially designed instruction for your children without sacrificing the rigor, in order to allow ALL students to access the curriculum.
