Dear Families,

I except all my students to do their best and try. We all learn from our mistakes and I am the first to admit when I make one. I expect all students to do their homework and read or be read to each night. Reading is so important and a nice way to end the day.

I also expect for parents to do "their" homework such as checking your child's backpack daily, reading with your child, making sure he or she does homework, etc... I am also a mom so I know how busy life can get, but parenting young children lays the foundation of good work habits later. Please let us know if you feel your child isn't understanding something or if you suspect a problem. We are here for your child and YOU!  As a team we will help your child achieve to his or her fullest potential.

I look forward to getting to know your child and working with you. You can reach me either at the school email address or at my yahoo email:  mtarascio@yahoo.com.

Sincerely,

Melissa Bertsch
