What is Co-Teaching?

Co-Teaching is a way to educate students with disabilities in general education settings. All students will have access to their grade level curriculum according to the No Child Left Behind Act(NCLB).

What Co-Teaching is not...

*It is not Special Education.

*It is not a "slow class".

Benefits

*Two highly qualified, equal teachers planning and teaching together.

*Flexibility to utilize small group instruction.

*More intensive instruction for the curriculum of which your child is enrolled.

*Increased attention given to each student.

*Different teaching styles to support your child's needs.

*All students are exposed to students with different ability levels.

*All students are encouraged to learn from each other.

*Interactive teaching models that address different students' unique learning styles.
