Dover Middle School

Dear Students, Parents and Community Members:

Welcome to the Dover Middle School website. Members of our school community focus on our mission statement, Building Bridges to Excellence, as we dedicate ourselves to continuous improvement of effective middle level practices. Our philosophy centers on three key points:

• Having a middle school that provides a safe, caring and compassionate atmosphere
• Providing a rich curriculum in all content areas that challenges all types of learners
• Helping students develop socially, as well as intellectually, by providing the skills and   information to make smart decisions and maintain healthy lifestyles

Research continues to show that parent involvement in schools greatly improves the quality of education. Educators and parents should work together to foster the greatest success for the students’ middle school experience.  For this reason, we encourage parents to take an active role in the middle school years of their children's life.  We value parental input, suggestions and ideas as we strive to improve our middle school. 

 Our staff is an outstanding group of professionals committed to the children of this school.  Our parents and community are willing to help and are very supportive.  Our students can be very successful as we all work together in building bridges to excellence.
