As principal of Dover Middle School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. Dover Middle School is a grades 6 through 8 school serving the community and surrounding areas of Dover Plains and Wingdale. We are pleased to offer you this website as a communication tool as one of many ways in which we interact with parents, the community, and those seeking information about our school.
It is an honor for me to be a member of an experienced and dedicated staff that works hard to give each student an outstanding educational experience. We are completely committed to make a positive difference in the lives of our students.
As an educational team, we at Dover Middle School are dedicated to academic excellence and hold high expectations to ensure that each and every student will be a successful, 21st century learner and thinker. We are devoted to creating a safe and positive learning environment where staff and students promote and model responsible, respectful behavior in order to create the best learning opportunities for our students.
Along with academic excellence, the Dover Middle School is also committed to the social and emotional needs of our students. We offer site-based counseling and students participate in an anti-bullying program named OLWEUS. We encourage students to be kind and take a stand against bullying. In addition, we follow four important rules, (1) we will not bully others; (2) we will try to help students who are bullied; (3) we will try to include students who are left out; (4) if we know that somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.
Please browse the links provided for further information regarding our school and district. However, if additional information is needed, feel free to contact the school at (845) 877-5740 or email any staff member directly.
