Welcome to Wingdale Elementary School! My name is Jennifer Gendron and I will be your childs reading teacher. I would like to take this opportunity to share some information with you about myself both professionally and personally.
This is my ninth year teaching. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Plattsburgh. I completed my Master’s degree from Mount Saint Mary College in Literacy Education. I discovered through my own education and student teaching that I have a passion for learning and sharing knowledge with students of all ages. My husband, Travis and I live in Pawling. We have two children, Tyler who is 5 years old & Juliette who is 1. It has been a joy spending the summer with both children. We also have one dog, BayLee. In my spare time I enjoy being outside, watching ice hockey (GO Canadiens!!) and spending time with my family.
I believe every individual in the classroom will discover their strengths and have the opportunity to work on their weaknesses. My goal as an educator is to help your child grow and develop to his or her full potential, both academically and socially. Providing a caring, enjoyable, yet challenging and structured learning environment are the essential elements I will use to accomplish this goal. I will give your child my full respect and understanding daily, and ask for the same in return. I encourage a strong home to school connection. Your support and involvement will play a significant role in your child’s educational growth.
Please know that I am here to help guide you with any questions or concerns that you may have. Feel free to contact me at any time. I can be reached before or after school at (845) 877-5720, during school hours you may leave a voicemail and I will get back with you as soon as possible. If you prefer, my e-mail address is: firstname.lastname@example.org
Your child will grow & develop tremendously over the next year. I am very excited to be a part of their lives. I look forward to working with both you and your child during this fun, successful and exciting year. Thank you for entrusting me with your child’s education during such an important stage in their lives. I look forward to meeting you soon!
