DEEP

DEEP Mission
To provide an education enrichment fund that will be a permanent resource to support programs that enhance the skills and experience of students in the Dover Union Free School District.

Established by the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and a community advisory board in 2014, DEEP is a community-based effort to support projects above and beyond those paid for by local, state and federal funding. The Fund has been seeded by several generous gifts and its board now seeks to build an endowment so it can make a significant impact on educational opportunities that inspire our students.

***Important Changes for New DEEP Grant Applications Starting in 2024***

Starting in 2024, the Dover Education Enrichment Program (DEEP) will change its grant application and award cycle at the request of its funding partner, the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation (BTCF). Going forward, the DEEP grant application portal will open on May 1st and accept proposals until September 30th of each year. The DEEP Advisory Committee will then review applications and grant awards will be announced in November. Grant application workshops will be offered in March and April 2024 to review submission of applications through the BTCF grant portal, filing for grant disbursements, and preparing the final Project Outcomes report following completion of a funded project. During this "re-set" year, DEEP funds that would typically be distributed this spring will be added to the fund and awarded in the fall of 2024. If you are interested in submitting a 2024 grant, be sure to attend one of the DEEP grant informational meetings that will be announced this spring.
